HL Deb 04 May 1982 vol 429 cc1150-1WA
Lord Brockway

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What decision was reached by the United Nations Security Council on the resolution condemning the raid on Easter Sunday by a derenged Israeli soldier on the Rock mosque in Jerusalem; how many voted for the resolution and how many against; and how the British representative voted.

Lord Belstead

The United Nations Security Council debated a resolution condemning the shooting incident in Jerusalem. 14 members of the council voted in favour of the resolution, including the United Kingdom. The United States voted against the resolution which therefore failed.
