asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list in the Official Report the number of pitches on official sites for gipsy caravans in each metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester and the number of caravans at present on official and unofficial sites in those boroughs.

The annual returns of the number of pitches on official gipsy sites and the twice yearly returns on the number of caravans on official and unofficial sites are available in the Library. The January 1982 figures will be issued shortly.
