§ Mr. WigginFrom 1 April 1982, entry to Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service will be open to both men and women. From the same date, a number of paramedical posts will be upgraded to officer status to take account of the high academic standards and levels of skills now required. These posts will be open equally to both men and women, including those who have obtained suitable qualifications in civilian life and who wish to enter the Royal Navy on short service commissions.
