§ 30. Mr. Wallerasked the Secretary of State for Industry what representations have recently been made to him about improving co-ordination between the organisations which provide help and advice to small businesses.
§ Mr. MacGregorSome representations have been made about the growing number of organisations providing support for small firms. The Department of Industry has recently completed a series of conferences in each region, three of which I have chaired myself, to encourage better communication and co-operation between the various agencies and with the small firms service. In doing so we have regarded as paramount the interests of the client, the small business itself. I am now evaluating the conclusions.
