§ Mr. MacGregorIt is not possible to give the figures in precisely the form requested. But according to the national income and expenditure statistics labour costs, including fringe benefits, accounted for 83 per cent. of manufacturing industries' gross domestic product in 1980. The corresponding figure for 1979 was 79 per cent.
