§ 23. Mr. Parryasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will undertake a special study of the problems of inner city schools.
§ Sir Keith JosephIn recent years the Department has sponsored a number of studies which bear on the problems of inner city schools, and a further wide-ranging study is unlikely to throw up new solutions. Not all inner city schools are problem schools. Despite the particular difficulties which they may face, some are vital and stimulating places. I will maintain a close interest in this issue.
