How many health centres are already established in the United Kingdom and how many are projected.

The latest available figures show the number of established health centres in the United Kingdom to be as follows:—

England 1,014 at 1 October 1981
Wales 94 at 1 October 1981
Scotland 143 at 30 September 1981
Northern Ireland 70 at 30 December 1981
Total 1,321

In the 1981–82 financial year, there are 54 proposed starts in England and none in Northern Ireland. Information on proposed starts in Wales and Scotland is not collected centrally.
