HL Deb 10 March 1982 vol 428 c299WA
Lord Nugent of Guildford

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have reached a decision on the need for a review of the operation of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1976.

Lord Belstead

My right honourable friend the Home Secretary has decided to set up a review of the Act's operation, along the lines of that carried out by Lord Shackleton in 1978. He will announce details in the debate on the renewal of the Act.
