§ 25. Mr. Wilkinsonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what was the additional financial cost incurred by the Metropolitan Police in providing a police presence to accompany and supervise the march and demonstration by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament in London on Sunday 6 June.
§ Mr. MayhewWe understand from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that the estimated cost of overtime incurred in policing the demonstration and the three marches that preceded it was of the order of £72,000.
