asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what evidence he has of the working arrangments of the new system of student union finance and of the extent to which student union autonomy has been affected by them.

Under the new arrangements the funding of student unions is a matter for local decision. These arrangements do not change student unions' constitutional position where they have responsibility for managing those functions entrusted to them.
