HC Deb 30 July 1982 vol 28 c767W
Mr. Deakins

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many people in Waltham Forest and the Walthamstow-Leyton travel-to-work area, respectively, will benefit from the new measures to help the long-term unemployed.

Mr. Alison

Places under the community programme scheme will be allocated broadly in line with the regional incidence of long term unemployment. The ability of people to benefit from the scheme will depend on sponsors coming forward with suitable projects for support.
