§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in view of the incident in South Carriageway, Hyde Park affecting the illegally parked car and the use of parked vehicles for the placing of bombs therein by terrorists, he will request those responsible to take immediate action to have the large number of illegally parked vehicles in the London streets removed forthwith and to ask those concerned to be more vigilant in taking action in the future concerning same.
§ Mr. WhitelawNo. The responsibility for the enforcement of parking regulations rests with the Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis, who keeps the deployment of resources under review in the light of the current security situation.
