§ Mr. George Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will ensure that the national and imperial contribution to Metropolitan Police funds is raised to 3 per cent. to ensure that the additional cost of protection of Royal households does not impose additional burdens on London ratepayers.
§ Mr. MayhewThe level of the imperial and national services grant is currently under review. Any additional cost to Metropolitan Police funds attributable to increased protection of Royal households will be taken into account in that review.
