§ Mr. Dudley Smithasked the Minister for Trade what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government towards resolution 773 (1982) of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on European air transport policies.
§ Mr. SproatI warmly welcome this resolution and the report on which it was based. It is in very many respects consistent with the policies which Her Majesty's Government have been advocating for the liberalisation of air transport in Europe. The resolution was therefore given explicit support last month by the United Kingdom delegate to the triennial session of the European Civil Aviation conference. I welcome any development of this kind which draws attention to the likely benefits of a more liberal system for international civil aviation.
