§ Mrs. ChalkerMy right hon. Friend laid the regulation introducing compulsory seat belt wearing for adults in cars and light vans on July 6. The British Medical Association has recommended a fee to doctors of £19 for examining applicants for medical exemption. We are taking powers to provide medical examinations through the DHSS medical service for the disabled and those on low incomes.
