§ Mr. Bowdenasked the Secretary of State for Transport what have been the results of the experiments on the timing of pelican crossings which he has been conducting.
§ Mrs. ChalkerPreliminary assessment suggests that there have been slight increases in vehicle delays, but no increase in accidents. Both driver and pedestrian behaviour seem to have improved. These findings are being taken into account in our current review of the pelican crossing regulations.
