§ Mr. PattieThe number of information officer group staff employed in the Department was 144 on 1 January 1981 and 145 on 1 January 1982. The approximate cost of their wages and salaries, including employer's national insurance contributions was £1, 540, 000 and £1, 685, 000 respectively.
