§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Wales how many persons work in the planning and land use department of the Welsh Office; and how many of these work on structure plans and development control.
§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsAt 1 January 1982, 318 staff were employed in the land use planning group, including 200 staff dealing with ancient monuments matters. Of the 318, 49 staff were employed wholly or mainly on structure plans and development control and 23 staff were also employed on these matters for a part of their time.
