HC Deb 24 February 1982 vol 18 cc407-8W
Mr. Adley

asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list the places in respect of which officials of the Health and Safety Executive have been consulted about liquid petroleum gas safety regulations on tankers located offshore; in which cases approval has been given or withheld; and, in the latter case, for what reasons.

Mr. Waddington

There has been one firm proposal, which is to moor an LPG tanker in the Solent. The Health and Safety Executive was consulted by the British Transport Docks Board and advised that there were no strong health and safety grounds why the proposed storage and transhipment operation should not proceed.
