§ Mr. WakehamDiscussion on co-operation between the EC and Japan in advanced technology was only one of the points covered in the talks at the end of January between Commissioner Davignon and Mr. Fujiwara, Japanese Vice Minister for international trade and industry. It was agreed in principle that the possibility of such co-operation should be considered further, but no specific areas for co-operation were identified.
