asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he is now in a position to publish the circular on the Disabled Persons Act 1981.

Mr. Rossi

The circular is being revised in the light of the comments that have been received following consultation, and I hope that it will be issued in the near future.

Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will now make an order for the commencement of section 6 of the Disabled Persons Act 1981.

Mr. Rossi

The Government have promised full consultations before section 6 of the Disabled Persons Act 1981 is implemented. I hope that these consultations can be undertaken as soon as possible after the main circular on the Act has been issued.
