§ Mr. Geoffrey FinsbergWe have no reason to believe that the method by which figures for hospital waiting lists are collected is not satisfactory, but, as my hon. Friend may be aware, a joint steering group drawn from the Department and the National Health Service is at present reviewing Health Service information systems generally. This group has recently issued reports on hospital information systems including information on waiting lists, and among the concerns of the group has been relevance and accuracy. These reports are at present being considered by health authorities and other interested bodies.
