25. Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he is satisfied with the implementation of section 2 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Rossi

The implementation of the section is a matter for individual local authorities.

Mr. Park

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what advice he has given to the City of Liverpool social services department about the effect of section 2 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970.

Mr. Rossi

My right hon. Friend has given no advice to Liverpool social services department. I am sure that they, like other authorities, are well aware of the implications for them of this section of the 1970 Act.
