HL Deb 02 February 1982 vol 426 c1286WA
Baroness Fisher of Rednal

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will state how many National Health Service units for the seriously handicapped exist, and where they are located.

Lord Elton

Seriously disabled people are treated in the appropriate medical and surgical wards of hospitals, and in specially designed and equipped younger disabled units, spinal units and departments of rehabilitation.

I will write to the noble Baroness about the number and location of the units and departments.
