HL Deb 02 February 1982 vol 426 cc1286-7WA
Lord Brockway

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What is their attitude towards the report prepared for the EEC Commission which urges that workers' co-operatives should become an important element in the European economy; and whether they would contribute to the proposed annual £25 million European Co-operative Development Fund, and, if so, how much.

The Minister of State for Defence Procurement (Viscount Trenchard)

The Commission has made no proposals to the EC Council on this matter. Her Majesty's Government will study such proposals if and when they are made and respond accordingly.
