§ Mr. MacfarlaneAn initial list of special protection areas was forwarded to the Commission on 31 August 1982 under paragraph 1(1)(a) of the Council resolution. The Ramsar sites were notified to the Commission in September 1981 under paragraph 1(1)(b). The Council resolution related to directives 79/409 which required a list of special protection areas by 2 April 1981.
