§ Mr. MacfarlaneInsufficient information was received with the listed building consent application for Cole Hall farm to identify which parts of the building were676W to be demolished. The city council was asked by telephone on 19 October to supply additional floor and allocation plans showing the nature of the works proposed.

§ Mr. MacfarlaneFollowing a telephone call to my office from the hon. Member on 17 November, I agreed to discuss the case with him at his earliest convenience. The meeting took place on 22 November. The chief planning officer was requested by my office on 17 November by telephone to await the outcome of my meeting with the hon. Member before acting on my Department's letter of 17 November. The 28 day non-intervention period expired on 18 November. Unless the Secretary of State directs otherwise within that period, the local authority is free to exercise its own discretion.
