HC Deb 22 December 1982 vol 34 c529W
Mr. Tilley

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has had from Newbury district council about changing byelaws relating to the control of Greenham and Cookham Commons; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Mayhew

I understand that Newbury district council is considering strengthening the controls applicable to these two commons to bring them into line with the controls in force in respect of other commons in the district. In this connection the council sent the Home Office a set of draft byelaws in October and asked for comments. These were sent in November.
