§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Secretary of State for Industry if, in view of the level of unemployment in the area, he will take steps to increase the level of Government assistance for industry in the London borough of Waltham Forest.
§ Mr. MacGregorFirms in the area are eligible for assistance under many national schemes for projects which meet the necessary criteria. With regard to regional policy, following the changes in the assisted areas announced by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State on 28 June 1982, we do not expect any further adjustments to the assisted areas in the lifetime of this Parliament, other than in the most exceptional cases, for the reasons frequently stated in the House.
