HC Deb 22 December 1982 vol 34 c574W
Mr. Colin Shepherd

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the total amount of (a) agricultural land and (b) other land in the ownership of the Crown Estate Commissioners.

Sir Geoffrey Howe

The Crown Estate Commissioners are responsible for 268,624 acres of agricultural land, and 67,000 acres of unenclosed wastes of ancient manors in Wales. Their other holdings are described briefly in the schedule to the Commissioners' annual report to March 1982. I am sending my hon. Friend a copy.
