§ Mr. Foulkesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will estimate the total outturn cost to the Exchequer of the airport infrastructure and associated developments in the Turks and Caicos Islands related to the Club Mediterranée project on Providenciales.
§ Mr. Neil MartenThe present total estimated cost is £4.5 million. The actual outturn, however, will depend upon decisions on contractors' claims. Should the full balance of the fire equipment and the full equity-loan funds eventually be required, the total cost of the project will be £5.2 million; this expenditure will depend on the future use of the airport and Club Mediterranée's decision whether or not to build the holiday village.
