Mr. Christopher Priceasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will place in the Library copies of those instructions to the Metropolitan Police which do not contain guidance on operational and other matters which it would not be in the public interest to make generally available.
§ Mr. MayhewYes. The Commissioner has reconsidered this matter at the request of my right hon. Friend. The Commissioner has decided that it would be right to make available a copy of the instruction book revised to omit material which it would be operationally damaging and not in the public interest to include. A copy will be placed in the Library when the revision has been completed.
