§ Mr. MayhewSolvents of various kinds are abused in circumstances which often do not result in the particular occasion coming to the notice of police or other agencies. Reliable information about the incidence of such abuse is therefore not at present available. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services has invited proposals for studies of the prevalence of this activity.
