§ Mr. Gryllsasked the Secretary of State for Industry how he will measure the effect of the proposals announced by the Under-Secretary of State to the House on 26 November, Official Report, c. 1177, which are aimed at securing a larger share of public procurement orders for smaller businesses.
§ Mr. MacGregorThe proposals are designed to assist small firms' access to Government contracts. My Department will monitor the working of these arrangements in consultation with purchasing Departments. We shall also be seeking the views of small business representative organisations.
