HC Deb 29 October 1981 vol 10 c436W

Mr. Dewar asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps he has taken, or proposes to take, in relation to the draft undertaking between himself and Western Ferries (Argyll) Ltd. approved by the House on 22 July; and in particular if he proposes to agree with the company an undertaking which differs in any respect from the text approved by the House.

Mr. Rifkind:

I have nothing to add at this stage to the statement made by my right hon. Friend on 12 October. That statement confirmed the intention to make a capital grant to Western Ferries towards the cost of another vessel.
