asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will reverse his decision to sell a naval missile vessel to Chile.

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what is the Government's policy concerning the sale of warships, including HMS "Norfolk" and HMS "Tidepool", to the Chilean Government.

Mr. Pattie:

All applications for the sale of arms to Chile, including warships, are considered on their merits taking all relevant factors into account.
