HC Deb 26 October 1981 vol 10 cc250-1W

Mr. Ernie Ross asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has received a letter from the Association of Scottish Local Health Councils on responsibility for general medical practioner locums; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Allan Stewart:

I have seen a recent letter from the Association of Scottish Local Health Councils; several hon. Members have also drawn the letter to my attention. At present I have nothing to add to the reply which my hon. Friend the Member for Aberdeenshire, West (Sir R. Fairgrieve) gave to the hon. Member for Hamilton (Mr. Robertson) on 25 March.—[Vol. 1, c. 342.]
