§ Mr. Pawsey asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, in view of the high cost of placing notices of footpath diversions in the London Gazette, he will take steps to amend legislation requiring local authorities to advertise such diversions in that newspaper.
§ Mr. Macfarlane:I have already done so. Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Bill removes the requirement for these notices to be published in the London Gazette.
