§ 26. Mr. Durant asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what progress he is making in his campaign to encourage the business sponsorship of the arts.
§ Mr. Channon:I am encouraged by the growth in the amount of money and the numbers of businesses and arts organisations involved in sponsorship. Next month in York I am beginning a series of regional meetings to explain the benefits of sponsorship to smaller, local businesses and arts organisations. At the same time I shall be publishing a new booklet offering basic guidance to small arts organisations.
