§ Mr. Wickenden asked the Secretary of State for Trade what has been the number of new company formations during 1981 to the latest practicable date; and what has been the number of company liquidations during the same period.
§ Mr. Eyre:The number of new company registrations in England and Wales in the first nine months of 1981 was 51,282; the number of company liquidations in the same period was 9,150, of which 6,245 were due to insolvency.
