Mr. Alton asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the current level of unemployment in Liverpool; what are the percentage levels of unemployment among 16 to 20, 20 to 30, 30 to 40, 40 to 50 and 50 to 60-year-olds; how many people have been out of work for longer than one year, two years, three years, four years, five years and more; and how many of the current year's school leavers have found jobs.

Sir Patrick Wall asked the Secretary for Employment if he will list the total number of employed persons on 1 October in each of the past 15 years.
