§ Mr. Ray Powell asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether, in view of the serious consequences resulting from the protracted dispute with meat inspectors within the slaughtering industry, he will ensure that the facilities of the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service are available to bring together all parties concerned with a view to resolving the dispute.
§ Mrs. Fenner:The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service is a statutory body, independent of Government, which is available to provide assistance should either party to a trade dispute request it.
