§ Mr. Henderson asked the right hon. Member for Middlesborough, as representing the House of Commons Commission, whether it is proposed that a parliamentary gift should be presented to the House of Representatives of Belize to mark the attainment of independence on 21 September.
§ Mr. Arthur Bottomley:The House of Commons Commission has noted with pleasure the recent independence of Belize. It is sure that the House will wish to offer a suitable gift to its House of Representatives to mark this occasion. An appropriate motion will be moved in due course.
