§ Mr. Gray: The companies which originally expressed interest in financing the gas-gathering pipeline scheme did not translate that interest into proposals to invest at the necessary levels. I have frequent meetings with oil company representatives, who keep me informed of their plans to bring gas ashore.
§ Mr. McQuarrie asked the Secretary of State for Energy what representations he has received from the Grampian trades council on the decision not to begin construction of the gas-gathering pipeline system at St. Fergus in the Aberdeenshire, East constituency.
