§ Mr. Gwilym Roberts asked the Minister for the Civil Service if he will take steps to record the figures for the number of civil servants in the administrative grade or in other senior Civil Service posts who are of non-Caucasian origin, with a detailed breakdown of post held and department.
§ Mr. Hayhoe:The Home Affairs Committee in its report on racial disadvantage issued on 6 August recommended that I should reconsider the decision not to undertake some sort of ethnic monitoring of the Civil Service and the Government's response to the report is under consideration.
