asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will take steps to develop integration of benefits available for the disabled.

Mr. Rossi:

The Government remain committed to the long-term aim of introducing a coherent system of benefits for disabled people. But, as we have made clear, there is no prospect of progress towards this objective until the economy has improved.
