HC Deb 19 October 1981 vol 10 cc53-4W
Mr. Gordon

Wilson asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he intends to take steps to upgrade the facilities for psychiatric and psychogeriatric patients at Royal Dundee Liff hospital.

Mr. Allan Stewart:

Two 30-bed units are presently being built at Royal Dundee Liff hospital and funded centrally under the major capital programme. Tayside health board who are responsible for the management of the hospital have submitted proposals for further upgrading of facilities and expansion of provision for psycho-geriatric patients. Decisions have yet to be taken on which projects should receive central funding in future; and Tayside health board's proposals will be considered along with those from other boards.
