§ Mr. Ernie Rossasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is his estimate of the incidence of epilesy in Scotland.
§ Mr. Allan Stewart:As epilepsy is not a notifiable disorder no information is held centrally about the number of persons in Scotland suffering from it and it is not possible to make a reliable estimate.
§ Mr. Ernie Rossasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what funds his Department is giving to sponsor research work into the causes and treatment of epilepsy; and if he intends to increase them.
