§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Employment what plans he has to introduce a new training scheme in the electrical contracting industry; how much this will cost; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Peter Morrison[pursuant to his reply, 20 November 1981]: The Electrical Contractors' Association has put forward proposals designed to improve the quality and quantity of training in its industry. I welcome this move towards more open and flexible skill training and understand that the Association is discussing with the Manpower Services Commission what financial support the Commission might give the scheme.
