HL Deb 18 November 1981 vol 425 c560WA
Lord Melchett

asked Her Majesty's Government:

When they intend to launch their publicity campaign against the misuse of air weapons, how long the campaign will last, how much the campaign will cost, and what results they expect to achieve as a consequence of this campaign.

Lord Belstead

Decisions on a campaign to combat the misuse of air weapons will be taken in the light of consultations with interested organisations. Until these have been completed it is not possible to say what the timing, duration and cost of such a campaign might be. However, the Government's objective is to heighten public awareness and sense of responsibility about the dangers of air weapons misuse.
